Army of the Underdog (formerly known as Envy), is a five-piece rock and soul band from New York City. Their sound is honest, tough, and pure.
Lead by the aggressive and soulful vocals of Jessie Wagner, AOU blasts a sexy, original rock and roll sound. With hard hitting beats, writhing guitar riffs, and savagely intoxicating bass lines, AOU created a hybrid of hard rock and sultry soul that is ass kicking, exciting, and a breath of fresh air in today’s humdrum music industry.
AOU recordings include the Envy EP, Handle It and Army of the Underdog (released under the name Jessie Wagner and Envy). AOU is currently working on a new EP and it should be ready for listeners in 2021.
